1Subscriber Consent
By registering for the Chunati Siddiqui Roots App (“the App”), the user consents to the following:
a) Visibility & Privacy
To help us all stay connected, the name and details you share about yourself or others will be visible to other approved family members, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
b) Building the Tree Together
When you add names, dates, or stories, they become a permanent part of our collective family tree. This means your contributions help build the shared record that all members can explore.
c) Review
New registrations and updates are reviewed by family members in ‘verifier’ and ‘approver’ roles before they become visible to the rest of the family. Since we are all building this together, please let us know if any further corrections are needed after a review.
d) Accuracy of Information
Please ensure the details you provide about yourself are correct. When sharing information about other family members, we ask that you do so to the best of your knowledge.

The Chunati Siddiqui Roots App is the digital evolution of the authoritative genealogical work, ‘ছিদ্দিকী বংশের একটি পারিবারিক ইতিহাস, ১৯৯৮’ by Professor Muin-ud-din Ahmad Khan. Developed as a collaborative initiative—with the approval from the copyright owner of the book—this App aims to preserve and expand upon his original research for future generations.
While every effort is made to accurately reflect those records alongside contemporary family updates, this App remains a collective effort and cannot guarantee that all details are complete, correct, or up-to-date. As such, this record must not be relied upon as a formal reference for legal identity, inheritance, property, financial, or any other official matters. The App’s administrators and developers are not responsible for any loss or inconvenience resulting from the use of, or reliance on, the information provided here.
3Privacy & Data Handling
a) Keeping Your Data Safe
We collect the details you provide during registration, such as your name, email, and family links. Sensitive information, like phone numbers or ID details, is encrypted and stored using industry-standard security. While we take every reasonable precaution to protect our family’s data, please understand that no digital system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection against all risks.
b) Who Can See the Tree
To help keep our records accurate and private, all registrations are reviewed and approved before an account is activated. Information is only visible to approved family members, and suspended accounts are not permitted to view any data.
c) Data Use
Your details are used solely to build our family tree and help us see our positions within the family. We will never sell your information or share it with anyone outside of our family app.
d) Managing Your Details
You may suggest updates to your information at any time. If you choose to close your account, the App will remove your sensitive personal data (such as phone numbers, emails, and photos). However, to preserve the integrity of the family lineage for other members, your name and family links will be retained as a historical record. By registering, you acknowledge that these basic genealogical facts form a part of the shared family history.
e) Account Suspension
To maintain a reliable and respectful environment, an account may be suspended from accessing the App if it is used in a way that goes against our community spirit or privacy guidelines. Once suspended, an account can no longer view the family tree or any shared details.
f) Our Technology Partners
We use trusted third-party services, currently including Supabase and Vercel, to host the App and keep our data secure. We may update these services as needed to ensure the best performance and security for our family tree. These providers maintain their own privacy standards and terms of service; by using this App, you agree to comply with their respective conditions as well.
